This policy explains how to cancel your Tree Guy Digital services, what you still owe when you do, and when you can get money back. It’s part of our Terms of Service. If you signed a proposal or Service Agreement with different terms, that signed document controls.
How your agreement works
- You start with a 90-day agreement.
- After that, your package renews automatically each calendar quarter: January–March, April–June, July–September and October–December. You don’t have to renew anything yourself.
- If your first 90 days end partway through a quarter, your service continues month to month until the next quarter begins. Then your package rolls into that quarter.
- You can move up or down a package between quarters. Once a quarter starts, you’re committed to that package for the full three months.
- Your price stays the same when a quarter renews, unless you change packages or we tell you in writing about a price change at least 60 days before the quarter ends. That leaves you time to cancel before the notice deadline below.
- We bill your monthly fee in advance, on your billing day each month, by automatic payment from your bank account (ACH) or card.
How to cancel
Tell us you want to cancel. Email is best because it gives both of us a written record.
- Email: billing@treeguydigital.com
- Online: the help form at treeguydigital.com/help, or your private help link
- Phone or text: (863) 474-8744
However you reach us, we’ll reply by email to confirm your cancellation and your last day of service. Your notice counts from the day you first contacted us. If you don’t get our confirmation within two business days, please email us.
We may check that the request came from the business owner or someone authorized to act for your business. This protects you from someone else cancelling your marketing. Your notice still counts from the day you first contacted us.
Notice deadline
During a quarter. Tell us at least 30 days before the quarter ends. Your last day of service will be the last day of that quarter. If you tell us later than that, your package rolls into the next quarter as usual, and your last day of service is the end of that quarter.
During your first 90 days, or the month-to-month stretch after them. Your last day of service is 30 days after you tell us. It is never before your first 90 days are up. If that day would fall in the next quarter, your package rolls into that quarter, and your last day is the end of that quarter. To avoid that, tell us at least 30 days before the next quarter starts.
What you still owe
Cancelling stops your package from renewing. It doesn’t cancel the time you’ve already committed to, which is your first 90 days or the quarter you’re in. The monthly fees through your last day of service are still due, and we keep doing the work through that day.
You only pay for service through your last day. If your billing day doesn’t line up with that day, we adjust your final bill so you aren’t charged for any time after it.
Example: You’re in the April–June quarter, and you email us on April 20 to cancel. That’s more than 30 days before June 30, so your last day of service is June 30. Your monthly charges continue on your usual billing day until then, and you aren’t charged for any time after June 30.
If you emailed us on June 10 instead, that’s less than 30 days before June 30. Your package would roll into July–September, and your last day of service would be September 30.
What happens to billing
After your last day of service and your final bill, we stop your recurring charges. We won’t charge you again unless a balance is still unpaid. If we owe you a refund, we settle it with your final bill.
Your automatic-payment authorization stays in place only to collect fees through your last day of service and any unpaid balance. Stopping a payment with your bank, or revoking that authorization, doesn’t cancel your agreement or the fees you’ve committed to. Our Terms of Service explain how to revoke it.
Refunds
Monthly management fees. We don’t refund monthly fees for time you’ve committed to, even if you stop using the services before your last day. The exceptions are a charge that was our mistake and a refund the law requires. Refunds aren’t based on results, and we don’t guarantee specific rankings, calls or leads.
Build fee. The one-time build fee covers the setup work at the start. That includes your website build, Google Business Profile setup, SEO foundation and any ad account setup in your package. Build work starts with your onboarding call. If you cancel before your onboarding call, we refund the build fee in full. After that call, it’s non-refundable.
If we end your service early. We might end your service before your committed time is over for a reason other than unpaid fees or a breach of our Terms. If we do, you don’t owe fees for any time after your last day of service. We refund anything you paid for time after that day. We also refund the share of your build fee for any build work we didn’t finish.
Ad spend. You pay Google and Meta directly for ad spend. Our fees cover management only, so ad spend isn’t ours to refund. Any ad spend credits or refunds are between you and Google or Meta. We pause your campaigns on your last day of service, so new ad spend stops then.
Direct mail. Our mail partner bills you directly for direct mail, so its terms cover direct mail orders and refunds.
Billing errors
If we charge you twice or charge the wrong amount, let us know and we’ll look into it right away. Once we confirm the error, we’ll promptly refund the incorrect amount.
How refunds are issued
Refunds go back to the card or bank account you paid with. Card refunds usually show up within 5 to 10 business days, and bank (ACH) refunds usually take a few business days. Exact timing depends on your bank. If a refund can’t go back that way, for example because the account is closed, we’ll contact you to arrange another way.
What you keep when you leave
When you leave, our team works through an offboarding checklist. On your last day of service we pause your ads and turn off what runs on your behalf. We finish handing everything back soon after. You keep these:
- Your Google Business Profile. It’s yours. We put your own phone number back on it, then remove our access or transfer ownership back to you.
- Your Google Ads and Local Services Ads accounts. We pause your campaigns, unlink our manager account and remove our access. The accounts stay yours.
- Your Facebook and Instagram page and ad account. We remove our access. They stay yours.
- Your domain name. If we hold it for you and you want to keep it, we unlock it and send you the transfer code. If you don’t want it, we let it lapse. Please tell us which you’d like before your last day of service.
- Your website. We back it up either way. Once you’ve completed your first 90-day agreement, the website we built is yours. We hand over the WordPress login and work with you to transfer it to your new host. If your service ends before your first 90 days are complete, we archive the site, and it goes offline when our hosting ends. Hosting is part of your package, so it ends with your service.
- Your contacts. Your customer contacts are yours. If you ask any time up to 30 days after your last day of service, we export them from the GoHighLevel account we set up for you. Asking before your last day is easiest.
- Your call-tracking number. If you want to keep it, we’ll port it to you where possible. Otherwise we cancel it. Please tell us before your last day of service.
- Your own materials, like your logo, photos and documents.
We hand back your Google Business Profile and ad accounts even if you still owe us money. They’re yours.
We also turn off the things that run on your behalf: missed-call text-back, review requests and QR codes, other campaigns, and your private help link. Your access to Tree Guy University ends when your service does. So do the other tools and benefits that come with your package, including any Tree Guy Connect benefits.
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we keep after you leave and how to ask us to delete it.
Chargebacks
If a charge looks wrong, please contact us before you dispute it with your bank or card company. It’s usually faster to fix it with us directly. Our Terms of Service cover billing disputes.
Spending less instead of cancelling
We don’t offer a formal pause. If you need to spend less, you can move to a smaller package between quarters. Tell us at least 30 days before your current quarter ends, and the smaller package starts with the next quarter. If you tell us later than that, the change starts with the quarter after.
